Dick Campbell – The Story of the Wright Brothers
On a winter day in 1903, on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, two unknown brothers from Dayton, Ohio, Wilber and Orville Wright, changed history. It was the realization of a dream since childhood as the two of them achieved the first sustained, powered, heavier-than-air flight in a machine of their own design and construction. It was the first time a machine carrying a man and driven by motor had lifted itself from the ground in controlled free flight. A new era had begun and the world would never be the same. This Power Point presentation shows how they achieved this historical event.
WBA Hall of Fame 2015
The Wisconsin Broadcasters Hall of Fame was created to honor those broadcasters who have devoted their careers to broadcasting and its development in Wisconsin. Broadcasters who have been inducted into the Hall of Fame include managers, personalities, engineers, reporters, educators and those broadcasting pioneers who at once all of the above.

THINKSHIFT: New North Summit 2015
New North is the premier regional marketing and economic development organization representing 18 counties in Northeast Wisconsin. The New North annual summit was held at the Oshkosh Convention Center on Wednesday, December 2. NASA X: SAGE III
More than 25 years ago, scientists realized there was a problem with Earth’s thin, protective coat of ozone...it was vanishing. NASA scientists are preparing to send an instrument called SAGE III (Stratospheric Aerosol and Gas Experiment) to the ISS. It will monitor and gather valuable information for researchers and scientists.
LWV: Rebuild America’s Infrastructure and Economy
The League of Women Voters presents a production with the American Society of Civil Engineers and UW Madison Civil and Environmental Engineering Department. The presentation is to help raise awareness of both the dire state of our infrastructure and the solutions that could help revive our economy.

UW-Oshkosh Chancellor Installation
The new University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Chancellor, Chancellor Leavitt, was officially installed on Friday, September 18. The University’s video production department covered the entire ceremony, and it is now airing on CitiCable 10. OCMS earns 13 Video Fest Awards
Oshkosh Community Media Services received 13 Awards in the Wisconsin Community Media annual Best of the Midwest Video Fest competition, 3 of which received awards of excellence: two “Your City at Work” programs and one “Oshkosh Today” program. The Oshkosh Today from November (our Christmas special) won the “Best in Show” award, meaning it scored the highest in its category. We are honored to be recognized for all of our and our volunteer’s hard work throughout the year!

Curbside Christmas tree collections will take place during the week of Jan. 5 and the week of Jan. 12. A separate truck will collect the trees on your normal garbage collection day. The NASA Fundamental Aeronautics Subsonic Fixed Wing (SFW) Program is testing new, revolutionary designs that will dramatically change the future of aircraft. This project addresses the comprehensive challenge of enabling energy-efficiency improvements in subsonic transport aircraft combined with dramatic reductions in harmful emissions and perceived noise to allow sustained growth of the air transportation system.

Press Conference: Oshkosh PD and Community Foundation Mobile Command Unit
The Oshkosh Area Community Foundation and Oshkosh Police Department are teaming up to raise funds for a new Mobile Command Unit. This unit will be used as a command center during events and emergencies, as well as a community outreach tool. Dr. Schrag discusses climate change in the geologic past and explains how that knowledge can help us understand the impact of human activities on future climate. Climate researchers agree that over the past century human activities have been causing global temperatures to rise at unprecedented rates. Dr. Schrag looks at how this trend might be slowed with the aid of technologies such as carbon capture and storage.
